Carol Wood
Carol Way Wood comes
from a long line of
artists. She grew up
in Sudbury, MA where
her mother, Grace
Godwin Way, was a
well known painter
and art teacher. Her
mother’s father was
Golden Age
illustrator Frank
Godwin. When Carol
was eight she
decided to follow in
her grandfather’s
footstep.
She attended Colby-Sawyer College, The Boston Museum School and The Swain School of Design. From which she graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design.
Carol has been drawing and painting for 46 years. She has painted, illustrated children’s literature, created a line of greeting cards, designed wedding certificates, and created artwork for her Fine Art Boxes. In addition to which she teaches drawing to children. Her artwork is in private collections throughout the United States and Western Europe.
Carol paints with watercolors, uses some graphite pencil and micron pen for details. Her love of animals and nature are apparent in her work. She lives in South Dartmouth, MA with her cats and rabbits.
